My husband was in the Army 10 years ago for 2 years. He was a boat driver. He wants to join the Air Force but recruiter said he can only join if they have that specific job available for him? That just doesn’t sound right.
If u previously had a certain job in the Army the Air Force won't take you unless they have that specific job?

The Air Force only authorized 250 prior service enlistments in 2011
They must go for one of the following jobs:

•1T2X1 (Pararescue) (3)
•1C431 (TACP) (2)
•3P031B (Combat Arms) (25)
•1U031 (RPA Sensor Operator) (5)
•(Survival, Evasion, Resist, and Escape Ops) (7)
•3E8X1 (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) (4)
•8R000 (Recruiter) (30)
•6C0X1 (Contracting) (30)
